The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions towards the community.
SASSA is going to be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency mentioned it is alarmed about the significant quantity of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a high amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is often a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no status sassa completely functional office devoted to service the area each day. The company stage made for intervention experiences a significant influx of prospective beneficiaries, that makes it difficult for your Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more assets to help the servicing of all clients and enhance use of Social Assistance services,” the sassa agency said.
